We're very pleased to announce that the latest Issue of Guitar Interactive is now live and features Texas blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan on the cover. Also in Issue 20 Stuart Bull meets renowned fusion guitarist Al Di Meola and rising Blues star Oli Brown is interviewed by Tim Slater. We also have our usual high dosage of honest and in-depth guitar and gear reviews plus our brand new studio related section 'Making Tracks.'
We reviewed the awesome EVH 5150 III 100 head back in issue 10. But now there’s
a 50 Watt combo version. We gave one to Michael Casswell, a dedicated 5150 fan,
to see if the magic scales down.
I’m sure we all know what to expect when an amp has EVH written on it. Eddie Van Halen’s
quest for tone is now legendary. He knows what he wants both from an amp and an amp
manufacturer and he will not put his name to it until the tone in his head is delivered,
originally by Eddie’s own tortured self hot-rodded Marshalls, then by Peavey recreating a
more reliable version of that huge high gain sound with the 5150 and 5150 II, and now with
Fender Mexico giving us the EVH 5150 III series.
